President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in Bangkok this morning (Oct 7) to attend the Asia Corporation Dialogue Summit. The summit brings together 34 nations in the Asian region.
The President was accompanied by Jayanthi Sirisena. The President and Mrs. Sirisena were received at the airport by Thai Minister of Culture, Vira Rojpojchanarat, as the representative of the Royal Thai Government and Ambassador Kshenuka Seneviratne and the staff of the Sri Lanka Embassy, the President's Media Division reported.
The Dialogue Summit will take place from Oct 8-10. Sri Lanka joined the Asia Corporation Dialogue (ACD) in 2003. President Maithripala Sirisena attends this conference for the first time as President of Sri Lanka.
