President Maithripala Sirisena flew to Thailand yesterday Oct 30 to pay his last respects to Thailand’s late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the government information department reported.
Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe and Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Thailand, Kshenuka Seneviratne accompanied the President to pay last respect to Thailand’s late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the report said.
The President resturned to the island last night.
The Government of Thailand has declared a 100-day mourning period in this regard.
