Private bus drivers have resorted to a strike action this morning (Oct 31), President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Gemunu Wijerathne told local media.
Private buses operating on the Nittambuwa - Colombo (180) route, Gampaha - Colombo (200) and Kadawatha - Colombo (138) are engaged in the strike..
According to reports the strike has been staged following an alleged assault on a bus driver by a group involving several members attached to long distance private buses.
