Due to a fallen tree vehicle movement on the Puttalam-Colombo main road was completely halted this morning (9) for close to one hour in the Madampe area, Puttalam Disaster Management Unit Director A.M.R.N.K. Alahakoon said.
In spite of the inclement weather, the Madampe Police with the support of the residents managed to remove the fallen tree and clear the road, the unit said.
