Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has invited parliamentarians representing all parties to join the UNP government.
Addressing the launch of the Gamperaliya programme in Temple Trees last week, the Prime Minister called on all parliamentarians to join hands and work towards the betterment of the country. He also stressed that no one could defeat them if they were united.
"We undertook a serious challenge in 2015 since Sri Lanka was debt riddent at that time. However, we have managed to control and restore the situation of the country" Mr. Wickremesinghe remarked.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today warned that Ceylon Electricity Board Employees would have to make a choice in the next two months.
