The contempt of court case against Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake has been fixed for further hearing on September 10 by the Supreme Court today (Aug 28).
Mr. Ramanayake has been accused of making defamatory remarks against the judiciary during television programmes.
A complaint against him had been filed by Ven. Magalkande Sudantha Thero and a former Air Force officer.
During today's hearing, the deputy minister had made submissions before a three-member judge bench headed by Justice Sisira de Abrew.
