Several travel advisories by Switzerland, India, Germany and Sweden imposed against Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the ISIS militant bombings on April 21 have been softened this week. This follow China relaxing its travel advisory on Sri Lanka last week.
Germany on May 28 updated its travel advisory on Sri Lanka from "unnecessary travel to Sri Lanka is still discouraged" to "Despite the restoration of public order, travel to Sri Lanka will continue to be more cautious."
Switzerland on May 27 updated its travel advisory on Sri Lanka from "avoid unnecessary travel to Sri Lanka" to "In Sri Lanka travellers must be very vigilant about their personal safety."
India's travel advisory was updated on Tuesday from being advised against "non essential travel" to being asked to "be careful and vigilant" when travelling to Sri Lanka. (Sunimalee)
