An individual has been hospitalized following a shooting which took place at Raddolugama yesterday when two unidentified gunmen had opened fire at the victim.
Police say that the shooting took place at around 9 pm last evening at the Raddolugama Housing Scheme.
The victim has been identified as a Nilanga Maheshwaran, a 36 year old who had been bailed from remand over a murder six months ago.
The victim is receiving treatment at the Ragama Hospital.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
