A special traffic plan is to be enforced today and tomorrow restricting traffic along several roads due to the arrival of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, local media reported.
Vehicles plying towards Colombo along the Colombo - Katunayake Expressway will be restricted between 4 pm and 6 pm, the Police were quoted by media as saying.
Traffic will be restricted along the Bandaranaike Roundabout, Baseline Road, Saddharma Mawatha and Pradeepa Mawatha during this time.
The Sangaraja Roundabout, Panchikawatta, Maradana Junction, Darley Road, Gamini Roundabout, DR Wijewardene Mawatha, Regal Roundabout, Parson Road across Slave Island will also be restricted for vehicular movement.
Traffic will be disrupted along the Regal Roundabout, Janadhipathi Mawatha, and the road from the Liberty roundabout to Galle Face from 8:30 am to 10 am tomorrow.
The NSA Roundabout towards the Colpetty Junction will also be closed between 11 am and 12:30 pm tomorrow.
Galle Road from the kolpetty Junction, NSA Roundabout, Lotus Road, Ceramic Junction, Regal Roundabout, Parson Road to the Kolpetty Police Station will also be closed for vehicular movement between 1:30-2 pm tomorrow.
