Sri Lanka has joined the fray of Asian countries with worst performing currencies, Reuters reported today (Jan 2).
This is due to the rupee slide that was exprienced last year.
The exchange rate of the US dollar to a Sri Lankan Rupee which stood at 153.46 at the commencement of 2018, had sky-rocketed to 184.63 by the end of the year.
Accordingly, Reuters reports stated that the Sri Lankan rupee had slid by 18 percent in comparison to the US dollar last year.
