Three members of the same family have been sentenced to death by the Nuwara Eliya High Court for the abduction and rape of a young woman and the murder of another individual.
The three accused, aged 35, 32 and 24 years, are brothers, police said.
They had been on trial for abducting and raping a young woman and murdering another individual at Alu Oya in Norton Bridge on August 3, 2009.
