Three people including a child have been hospitalised following an accident in the Kumbukgolla junction in Medawachchiya today (Mar 16).
The accident took place at around 9 am when a cab reported to have belonged to MP Kader Masthan had collided with a motorcycle.
A father aged 27, a mother aged 25 and their one-and-a-half year old child who were travelling on the motorcycle were rushed to the Vavuniya hospital following the accident.
The driver of the vehicle identified as M.S Sabry was taken into custody by the Police, a spokesman for the police department told Times Online.
