Ward Place closed due to IUSF protest

Ward Place has been closed for traffic from Town Hall due to a protest march being conducted by university students. 

The protest has been organised by the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) to demand solutions to issues faced by students of the South Eastern University. 

Earlier, the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court allowed the students to hold their protest without inconveniencing the general public, after a court order sought by police. 

The magistrate also barred the students from forcibly entering any public institution.
