Sri Lanka Para Athlete Dinesh Priyantha Herath bagged a Silver Medal at the World Para Athletics Championships which is currently being held in London, England.
The championships will end on July 23. Dinesh Priyantha is employed by the Sri Lanka Army.
Dinesh Priyantha Herath is a Bronze Medal winner at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The medal won in London is his second international medal. His event is the T-46 Javelin event where he cleared 57.93 m to win the Silver.
The Gold Medal was won by India’s Gurjar Sundar Singh, who cleared 60.36 m.
The Bronze Medal went to China’s Guo Chunliang who cleared 56.14 m.
There are three participants from Sri Lanka at the London World Para Athletic Championships.
The others are Amara Indumathi (T-47 200 M and 800 M) and Anil Prasanna (T-42 200 M).
