Incumbent chief Suraj Dandeniya secured his reappointment as the President of Sri Lanka Badminton Association for a second tenure at its elections held at the Sri Lanka Badminton headquarters in Maitland Place.
Dandeniya secured 34 votes while his rival candidate Professor Ranjith Silva obtained 12 votes from a total of 46 votes.
Amal Dias was reelected as the Secretary for a second term with a majority of 22 votes while his rival Nishan Jayasinghe managed to secure 12 votes.
Kanthi Batuwatte and Sandeep Ratnayake were elected as Assistant Secretaries.
The Treasurer’s post went to Ruwan Gallage who was elected uncontested while N. Prasad was elected as the Assistant Treasurer.
Chamara Aluthge, Pulitha Hettiarachchi, Parakrama Basnayake, Buddhika Silva, Jeevan Jayathilake, Upali Tennakoon and Lakshmi Liyanage were elected as Vice Presidents.
