Former Sri Lanka Cricketer Jayantha Seneviratne was unanimously re-elected President of Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club, for the 3rd time, at its Annual General Meeting held at the Club premises last week.
Seneviratne, also a reputed coach and an expert Cricket commentator, has been a member of Bloomfield as a schoolboy, and thrilled thousands of Cricket fans in the '80s, when the Club was at the top of Sri Lanka Cricket, with his dashing batting and acrobatic fielding.
At the helm, Seneviratne has finalised plans to bring Bloomfield Cricket back to its rightful place at the top, and provide the Club with a new pavilion with better facilities and a playing field of the highest standard.
