Football enthusiast Saif Yousuf was elected the President of the Mercantile Football Association (MFA) at its Annual General Meeting held recently.
Yousuf, a promoter of football has been heavily involved with the sport as an administrator.
He is also the President of Colombo Football Club and the Vice President of the Colombo Football League.
Yousuf singlehandedly sponsors two of the important tournaments conducted by the Colombo FL, namely the Phoenix Cup and the Gold Cup.
A visionary promoter of the game, Yousuf hopes to adhere new methods to promote football in the mercantile sector after taking over his new role as head of MFA.
