The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia will be the venue for the upcoming HSBC Premier Golf Tournament 2016 to be held on September 9 and 10.
The tournament held for the fourth consecutive year will kick off with a customary pre-event challenge where golfers will have the exciting task of facing ‘The Ultimate Bunker Challenge’ played under lights at 6.00pm on September 9.
The pre-event will be followed by an evening of light entertainment at the clubhouse.
The tournament has grown in size with the number of participants showing interest for the event, each year.
This year’s tournament is expected to rally a large number of golf enthusiasts to compete for the HSBC Premier Challenge Trophy and a chance to witness the HSBC WGC Champions Golf Tournament, scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China from October 25 to 31.

The tournament will be followed by an exciting and fun filled awards ceremony on September 10 at the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
