A Karate display was held at the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) auditorium, Maharagama, to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the International Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do Federation (IOGRKF).
Japan International Corporate Agency (JICA) and the NYSC together with the IOGRKF, introduced a Karate training programme for youth at the NYSC Maharagama, which has gained much popularity.
Sensei Yasanari Yunisato who was instrumental in introducing the OGRK at the NYSC, was in Sri Lanka to attend the 32nd anniversary celebration.
At the conclusion of the display NYSC Director General Eranda Weliange and Chief Guest at the anniversary celebration Deputy Minister for Cultural Affairs and Wayamba Development, Palitha Thewarapperuma presented Sensei Yunisato with a memento.
