School Netball queens, Holy Family Convent Kurunegala, won the Under-19 and Under-17 age group championships to secure the Overall Championship of the All-Island School Games Netball Tournament, which concluded at the Maligapitiya ground in Kurunegala on Sunday (11).
Holy Family Kurunegala emerged runners-up in the Under-15 age category as Maliyadeva Girls' School went on to win that title.
Holy Family Kurugenala beat Presbyterian Girls' School Dehiwala by 31-23 in the Under-19s final while their Under-17 side defeated Hillwood College Kandy by 21-12 to win the respective age group titles.
Suseema Kumari and S.S. Sathya of Holy Family Kurunegala were adjudged the Most Outstanding Players of the Tournament in the Under-19 and Under-17 age categories respectively.
Maliyadeva Girls' School's Sandali Madampage was named the Most Outstanding Player in the Under-15 age group.
