Abu Dhabi will host five matches of the upcoming Pakistan v Sri Lanka series, including the opening Test match starting September 28.
As well as the first of the two-Test series, Zayed Cricket Stadium will also host the second and third one-day internationals on October 16 and 18 as well as the first and second of three Twenty20 matches on October 26 and 27.
“We are thrilled the Pakistan Cricket Board has chosen Abu Dhabi to host international competition of this calibre,” said Aref Al Awani, general secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board said: “We are pleased to play in Abu Dhabi and expect that this arrangement will be mutually beneficial for future tours as well."
“This series of fixtures continues Abu Dhabi Cricket’s excellent working partnership with the Pakistan Cricket Board” says Matthew Boucher, acting chief executive of Abu Dhabi Cricket.
