Hansani Piumila of Visakha Vidyalaya and Udaya Ranasinghe of Vidyartha College, Kandy were adjudged the Best Players of the Tournament in the Girls and Boys categories respectively at the National School Games 2016 Table Tennis Team Championships held at the S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium, Mt. Lavinia.
For their outstanding performances which helped Visakha and Vidyartha to emerge champs in the Girls and Boys Under 19 Team championships Piumila and Ranasinghe were crowned as Best Players.

Winner - Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda (3 sets) beat Runner-up Royal College, Colombo (1 set); 3rd Place: Kingswood College, Kandy
Under-15 Girls:
Winner - Ladies College, Colombo (3 sets) beat Runner-up Maliyadeva BMV, Kurunegala (1 set); 3rd Place: Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda
Under-19 Boys:
Winner - Vidyartha College, Kandy (3 sets) beat Runner-up Ananda College, Colombo (1 set); 3rd Place: Royal College, Colombo

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has interdicted Colombo Fort Magistrate Kosala Senadheera.
