St. Joseph's College recorded an inspiring 43-29 win against Wesley College in the first quarterfinal match of the Milo Schools Under-20 Knockout Rugby Championship played for the President's Trophy at Sugathadasa Stadium on Friday (9).
The first half of the game was contested evenly by both teams as Wesley led 24-21 at halftime.
St. Joseph's scored from six tries, five conversions and a penalty against Wesley's five tries and two conversions.
St. Joseph's will meet Dharmaraja College in the first semi-final to be played on June 17 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
