Hundreds of individuals took part in a civil society-led signature campaign demanding the government to repeal Prevention Terrorism Act (PTA) at Fort railway station on Friday. The campaign commenced in the wake of government crackdown of anti government protesters at Galle Face by police in recent weeks.
The Colombo–Kandy main road at Pahala Kadugannawa has been closed indefinitely after a deadly rockfall in the area that left six people dead and four others injured.
