Many key roads in the Delhi town, India have been flooded due to the heavy rainfall reported.
The water levels of the Yamuna river has been rising since last Wednesday(12) and the authorities have taken measures to evacuate over thousands of residents from the near-by low areas and have diverted the road traffic.
Foreign medaia reported that this has been the highest rise of the Yamuna river for over 45 years.
The monsoonal rains which began in June have claimed the lives of 88 persons.
Also the schools and universities have been requested to remain shut until Sunday and the government employees have been given with the opportunity of working from home.
