Playwright and actor Dharmajith Punarjeewa’s latest book ‘Stanislavski-Nalu Kala Shilpa’, a handbook for those interested in acting was released recently.
Having released and reprinted his maiden book ‘Rupanavedaya’, Dharmajith’s second book under a related theme is a collection of 169 short chapters based on statements made by world renowned Russian stage director Konstantin Stanislavski.
The chapters provide important hints on acting in stage, cinema and many other areas related to acting.
Presented in short and simple style, the book will also be of assistance to students who study theatre and drama and researchers in addition to those who yearn to learn the art of acting in depth.
Published by Mayashakthi Ranga Shilpa Shalikawa the book is priced at Rs. 1000.
Dharmajith started his theatrical production with ‘Kalaya’ (Time) in 1992 and went on to make fourteen stage plays, some of which were award winners.
The English production of ‘Sinhabahu’ based on Professor Ediriweera Sarachchandra’s legendary play under the same title was his last direction. |
