Ogilvy sweeps the board at ‘Effies’

Phoenix Ogilvy and its sister company Ogilvy Action on Thursday swept the boards, bagging six out of 11 awards at the ‘Effies’Awards, which is dedicated to effectiveness of advertising,

Phoenix Ogilvy won one silver and two bronze for the campaigns for Panadol, Coke and Clogard, while Ogilvy Action won one silver and two bronze for MAS Capital, LOLC and Dialog CDMA. Ogilvy Media also won credits for the night for its partnership in the Viva campaign that won Silver, the company said.

Irvin Weerackody, Chairman Ogilvy Group of Companies said, “We sell or else. We live by this credo. We are in the business of persuasion and communication sans effectiveness could be the negation of our own very being. One great thing about the Effie Awards is that the real judges are not the panel of judges. The market is both judge and jury.”
