Microimage Mobile Media were adjudged runners up in the media and entertainment category at the Asia Pacific ICT awards (APICTA) held in Jakarta, Indonesia recently.
The company competed against some of the giants in the multimedia solutions space in the region such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. In a press release, the company said this is the first time Sri Lanka has bagged an award in the highly competitive media & entertainment category, which is dominated by other regional multimedia giants in the past. The Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) is an international Awards Programme initiated by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) of Malaysia to provide a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs in the ICT sectors in the region to benchmark their products and to network.
