Asia Pacific Cards & Systems Sdn Bhd (APCS) of Malaysia has entered the Sri Lankan market with Lake House Printers Ltd (LHPL) to market top of the line, cutting edge, high secured, cost effective smart and banking cards to the local market.
Managing Director, LHPL, Sujan Wijewardena, told the media that LHPL was glad to be associated with APCS, the single largest and only EMV-certified card manufacturing company in Malaysia. "This smart card technology is unique and should be used very smartly to improve efficiency and productivity. It would bring in new solutions to various segments of industries, service sectors, farmers, fishermen, universities and many others to improve the countries productivity which is a must in the present day world," Mr Wijewardene said. Country Head, APCS Malaysia for Sri Lanka, Jayampathy Arambepola said Malaysian technology is significantly evident everywhere in Sri Lanka.
APCS is a fully owned subsidiary of Formosa Prosonic Industries SDN BHD which is quoted in the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. The new system provides smart cards to the banking and other corporate sectors from ATM's to Credit to Debit cards.
