Munchee Youth 19 Cricket
By M. Shamil Amit

Royal and Nalanda qualified to the quarter finals of the Munchee Youth 19 T20 cricket tournament with the pre-quarter final being decided by the toss of a coin due to bad weather making play impossible.
The matches were the remaining two pre-quarter finals to be completed where Royal was due to contest Mahinda while Nalanda is being pitted against their traditional rivals Ananda.

The organizers tried their best to at least decide the match after five overs but conditions underfoot prevented any proceedings. Meanwhile the eight teams to qualify to the quarter finals have been found which are Thurstan, Prince of Wales, DSS, Moratu MV, Maris Stella, Trinity, Royal and Nalanda.

The quarter finals, semi finals and final are scheduled to be played at the NCC ground. Two of the quarter finals are scheduled to be played today with DSS taking on Moratu MV at 10.00 a.m. and Maris Stella clashing with Nalanda.

The remaining two quarter finals are scheduled to be played tomorrow between Prince of Wales and Trinity at 10.00 a.m. and Royal meeting Thurstan at 1.45 p.m.

The semi finals is scheduled to be played on April 27 (Tuesday) at 10.00 a.m. and 1.45 p.m. with the final slotted to be played on April 29 at 1.45 p.m. The final will be preceded by the third place play off which id due to be played at 10.00 a.m.
