DSK SUPINFOCOM is an education joint venture established in Pune, India in April 2007 between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Northern France (CCI Nord De France Avesnes Cambrai Valenciennes) and DSK Global Education and Research Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of the conglomerate DSK Group of India.
DSK SUPINFOCOM offers its students three unique schools of design, each with its own dedicated staff, resources and industry specific teaching methodology.
They are:
- DSK ISD (International School of Design)
- DSK SUPINFOCOM (Institute of Animation)
- DSK SUPINFOGAME (Institute of Video Game Design)
Supinfocom France is listed as the number one CGI animation school in the world with graduates placed in the most important studios worldwide. Awards won by the institute include Best Student Film at Antifest 2008 and Best Animation at the International Festival of Rio De Janeiro. Supinfocom France has brought over 22 years of experience and Industry contacts to India.
Animation can be defined as an art, a series of techniques involving different technologies and is currently a multi-billion dollar industry.
At DSK Supinfocom we teach our students the global filmmaking process as applied to animation and VFX in the real world. Students are tutored and trained to grasp all the different and apparently contradictory facets in the world of animation and special effects. DSK Supinfocom gives its students the practice necessary to make them job-ready professionals upon graduation to work at any geographical location.
The course is a cumulative 5 years for students entering after the completion of A/Ls and 3 years for students already possessing an undergraduate degree or professional diploma.
The programme includes an internship during the summer break. The students' final graduation films are judged by an international jury of professionals which gives many students the opportunity to receive their first job offer from the jury members themselves.
All students graduate with a Level 1 Certificate which is equivalent to a Master's degree and is approved by the National Commission for Professional Certificate (CNPC), which works under the direct supervision of the French Prime Minister's office and is globally recognized.
Graduates from Supinfocom join major animation and Visual Effects studios as modellers, layout artists, character designers, animators, lighters or compositors, or work for smaller production companies as designers/directors for commercials and videos. Supinfocom also boasts a 100% placement record and has alumni, internship partners and industry placement in almost all Tier 1 to Tier 3 animation studios worldwide including Dreamworks, Lucas Arts, Pixar, Cartoon Network, Ubisoft, Cube, Ankama Studio. Boolab Nexus, Polygon Pictures, and Magic Lab.
The Campus
DSK Supinfocom is located in Pune, India and sits on a 20 acre fully residential state-of-the-art campus. The campus currently has 150 students; 80% of whom are Indian and 20% are Europeans. Each design school has state-of-the-art equipment and technology that provides students the best possible learning experience. Each residential student is provided with their own dorm with all amenities provided including a 24 hour café, Wifi and recreational facilities.
