A delegation from Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing comprising Mr. Rohan Somawansa, President of SLIM accompanied by Mr. Thushara Perera, Vice president and Mr. Saliya Weerasekera Immediate Past President visited the Buckinghamshire New University (Bucks) High Wycombe, UK to meet the senior faculty members of the University.

The delegation discussed the strategic direction of the SLIM /Bucks MBA Programme and held a series of prolific discussions on how to take forward the programme, develop the student base and enhance the quality of the service delivery. They were also special invitees at the Buckinghamshire New University Graduation ceremony 2010.
The New Buckinghamshire University Graduation Ceremony was held for over a week's period from September 6-10, with the Bucks MBA Graduation taking place on September 7 where many of the MBA graduates from Sri Lanka participated. Buckinghamshire New University is a British state funded university with roots going back to 1893, as the Science and Art School in High Wycombe, a town located between London and Oxford. The university now has a studentship of about 10,000.
The Bucks MBA is awarded by the Buckinghamshire New University and applies cutting edge and straightforward learning methods through a facility developed by the university, popularly known as the Blackboard. Students also receive the unreserved support facilitated by SLIM through a panel of experienced industry professionals and academics. Besides the comprehensive subject delivery system, the programme also has an extremely flexible schedule that allows working professionals to obtain their qualifications. The Buckinghamshire New University School of Business and Management is a member of the Association of Business Schools-UK.
At the last subject review undertaken by the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in 2001, the university's Business School scored high, gaining a total 22/24 points in recognition of the excellent teaching quality delivered in the field of Business and Management.
