ELEC - British Council approved IELTS test centre

The English Language Education Centre is happy to bring to our readers more details on the expansion of our curriculum respecting IELTS and English courses. Success in the IELTS Examination with a high band score has always been a challenge for everyone. It is vital to understand that the IELTS .

xamination is not merely an English test, but also an assessment of one's IQ. Hence proper training and guidance is of utmost importance to succeed with the band score required. At ELEC we train and prepare our students to achieve the highest score possible even if their requirements are less. We provide effective individual attention to all students and extra guidance and materials at no extra cost, as our students' success is our core concern.

In addition to our highly qualified experienced faculty, we offer students as far as possible flexible time schedules thereby facilitating their requirements to the best of our ability. Success of our students has been significant and we will be happy to share their experiences at ELEC with our readers in our next article.

Further developments in IELTS
Time constraints are a significant issue among many individuals as they have to balance their secular lives and other responsibilities. Hence attending an IELTS course can often be a challenge. We are happy to introduce our self study programme for which the students are provided with the study materials and our lecturers will assist them as much as possible in the absence of them attending class. This flexible system has proven to be useful to all those who are constrained for time and enables them to prepare to the best of their ability for the exam under our professional guidance.

In the meantime we would like to offer our IELTS students some guidelines to the listening module.
Here is how to get the most from listening practice. If you really want to improve both your language skills and your test results - be prepared to do each test 3times (unless you get a perfect score initially)
1.First time: check your score only don't read the correct answers. Erase your answers marked in pencil but leave an "x" beside question numbers where you made an error. Pay attention to those questions. Re - read each one carefully. Do not check the transcript.

2. Second time: leave a day then repeat the test. Check your answers. How much did your score improve this time? Which questions did you still get wrong? Do you know why?

3.Third time: listen to the recording. This time don't answer the questions, just read the transcript as you listen. Underline new vocabulary - choose the words that seem most important. Afterwards, go back, list the new words and use your dictionary to find the meaning. Now check the questions you missed. Look for the answers in the underlined sections of the transcript.

By taking time to repeat the tests, you are developing your listening skills, building vocabulary and increasing your understanding of test strategies. This is time well spent.

English Language training.
It is noteworthy that the English Language has been considered a second language by people, thus children are neglected during their early ages which impedes their learning abilities when older. This needs to be corrected. Therefore at ELEC English Language is taught and viewed from a first language perspective and we endeavour to inculcate English in our students at an early age. As such we have enhanced our services further to facilitate language training to children at an early age. This will help the future generations in a big way and enable them to be fully equipped to do what they desire be it academically or professionally.
