ICBT Campus, the leader in private sector higher education providers in Sri Lanka launched British SQA programmes for the first time in Sri Lanka in association with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) which is the National Qualifications Awarding Body of Scotland.

The launching ceremony was held on 27th May 2011 at a glamorous ceremony in Rajabojun Ceylinco Seylan Towers, Colombo with the participation of the Chairman of ICBT Campus, Mr. JagathAlwis, CEO of SQA, Dr. Janet Brown, HE Mr. John Rankin, British High Commissioner, Sri Lanka, CEO/Executive Director, ICBT Mr. Mohan Pathirana, Dr. Mohamed Loutfi, Dean of International Development UWIC, Dr. Lisa Davis Head of the International Office, UWIC Country Manager - India, Sri Lanka, Oman, Hong Kong and Canada, Mr. Tony Reilly - Director, British Council - Sri Lanka and a large gathering of representatives from Industry, schools, private & government sector education providers, parents and many prospective SQA students.
