Top order batsman Sanesh de Mel hammered a ton and a half century as he helped S. Thomas' to record a convincing win against Asoka Vidyalaya and a thrilling win against St. Peter's in the inter-school under-17 cricket tournament which is in progress presently. De Mel hammered a 131 ball 110 to help S. Thomas' post a mammoth 318 in their match against Asoka at Mt. Lavinia. After bowing out their opponents for a meager 92, S. Thomas' went on to record an easy 226-run win. In their second match against St. Peter's at Bam balapitiya, de Mel (51) and Thilaksha Malshan (55) scored half centuries as S. Thomas' recorded a thrilling 33-run win. All-rounder Madushan Ravichandrakumar performed exceptionally well at both occasions.
