The annual Hilton Colombo Residence Tennis Gala will come alive for the ninth consecutive time from September 17 onwards at its Sports Center.
The competition which has seven different categories will see hundreds of participants, both professionals and amateurs competing for honours. Among the competitions are Men’s open singles and doubles, Women’s Open Singles, singles and doubles events for boy’s and girl’s of age groups of Under-10, 12, 14, and 16.
All matches of the junior categories will be held from 2.30 p.m. while the matches of the senior categories will begin from 4.30 p.m. daily. The competition will come to an end on September 25 with the awards ceremony. According to the organizing committee, the draw for the event will be held on September 15 while by September 13 calling of entries will be closed. This year’s competition is sponsored by Sri Lanka Tourist Board, Bank of Ceylon and Siyol International. |
