Panamera Model Range extended in Sri Lanka

Eurocars Ltd, a subsidiary of the IWS Holdings Group and the official Porsche importer in Sri Lanka, launched a new variant of the Panamera model range on Friday in Colombo – the Panamera S Hybrid. There are eight Panamera models in total, including the latest addition that Eurocars introduced
The costly 36 million-rupee Panamera S Hybrid is the second Hybrid model to be introduced by Porsche, the first of which was the Cayenne S Hybrid launched last year. Chairman of Eurocars (Pvt) Ltd, Arthur Senanayake attributes the increased number of Porsche vehicles on the road to the reduction in the duties on Hybrid vehicles allowing many Sri Lankans who used to drive Porsche vehicles abroad a chance to enjoy the Porsche driving experience on Sri Lankan roads.

Speaking to the Business Times on the sidelines of the Panamera S Hybrid launching ceremony, Mr Senanayake said, “In the last two months alone, Eurocars (Pvt) Ltd has delivered 45 Porsche Hybrid vehicles with many more deliveries in upcoming months”. Panamera S Hybrid is the most economical Porsche of all time. This marks the beginning of a new chapter of Porsche Intelligent Performance, continuing the success story of the four-door Gran Turismo, Mr Senanayake said.

The new hybrid model combines a total power output of 380 hp (279 kW) with fuel consumption of only 6.8 l/100 km (41.54 mpg imp.) based on the NEDC. That equates to CO2 emissions of just 159 g/km,” he added.
