February 19, 2012, Colombo will be the proud hosts of initiating the Sri Lanka’s first Ironman 70.3 and 5150 Series race, extending qualifying slots for the Ironman World Championship 70.3 and 5150 Series Championship. The event will become part of the Ironman 70.3 Series that includes over 40 races worldwide and the 15-race 5150 Triathlon Series. RACE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 750 PARTICIPANTS. The two events:
q5150: Olympic (Standard Distance) Triathlon (Swim 1.5k, Bike 40k, Run 10k).
q70.3: Half Iron Man (HIM) Triathlon (Swim 1.9k, Bike 90k, Run 21k).
