Karate expert Kavishka

Kavishka Madubashana of Sri Dheerananda Vidyalaya, Kadala, Boosa emerged the most successful karateka in kata and kumite sections in the under 11 category at the International Karate Championships held at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. The championship was conducted by the Japan Karate Do Kethsooriyu Kai Association.

In earlier competitions Kavishka had bagged a gold medal and a silver medal at in the under 11 category in kumete at competitions held in 2011.
