A deer has been rescued from a six feet deep water tank used for a coconut plantation by its owners in Karuwalagaswewa of Thenuwara area today morning (25).
The deer, which is said to be three feet tall, is believed to have fallen into the tank last night and suffered minor injuries.
Accordingly, the owners, after informing the Karuwalagaswewa Wildlife Site Office had handed over the deer to its officials.
The Karuwalagaswewa Wildlife Office has made measures to provide the deer with necessary treatment.
