Environmentally friendly electric cars at Kataragama Devala

Tourists who come to see the Ruhunu Kataragama Devala now have the comfort of travelling in eco-friendly electrical vehicles.

Amid growing environmental concerns, the project was suggested by the Basnayaka Nilame of the Devala, Dishan Wickramaratne Gunasekara.

The introduction of electric vehicles has been considered at other tourist sites as well, such as Sigiriya.
