Rathna Krishna Kumar disciple of Guru Padmabhooshan Prof C.V Chandrasekhar from India on 24 November 2017 at 6.00 p.m. at its auditorium at Indian Cultural Centre,
16/2 Gregory’s Road, Colombo 7.
Krishna Kumar obtained his initial training from Mrs Chitra Ramanathan of Annamalai
University and Diploma in Bharatanatyam from the world’s most renowned institute for
Classical dance, Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai and trained under the able guidance of Guru Padmabhusan Prof C.V Chandrasekhar and Jaya Chandrasekhar for over 18 years.
He has been honored with titles such as “ YUVAKALA VIPANCHEE” by Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna from Vipanchee, “NRITHYA KALA RATHNA” from Niruththa Indian Fine Arts, Australia. He has also received various Awards and rewards for honorary services in the field of Dance, both nationally and internationally. He is working as the Technical Instructor and Chief Choreographer at Saraswati Kala Kendra, Vellore for over 18 years and is the Founder of Shri Nrithyalaya dance school in Chennai.
