Showers or thundershowers are forecasted in Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Western and Uva provinces as well as Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts after 2:00 pm today (3).
The Department of Meteorology said Eastern and Uva Provinces will see less showery conditions today and next few days, after days of heavy rainfall triggering major flooding and earth-slips.
Parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces will have misty mornings.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
