The Court of Appeal has directed the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court to release the former head of the Health Ministry's Medical Supplies Division, Dr. Kapila Wickramanayake, who was placed in remand for the suspected import of substandard human intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) vials.
The Court of Appeal instructed the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court to release Dr. Wickramanayake on appropriate bail conditions following a writ petition submitted by his attorneys.
