Five people died from COVID related complications on Thursday increasing the deaths from the virus to 489.
A 53 year old female from Ussapitiya in Kegalle, a 78 year old female from Giriulla, a 72 year old male from Kolonnawa, a 62 year old female from Mattakkuliya and a 70 year old female from Boralesgamuwa died from COVID pneumonia and other underlying health conditions, Director General of Health Services confirmed.
Meanwhile, 351 persons were tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday.
