Sri Lanka has won the toss and will bat in the first Test match against England which will shortly at the Galle International Stadium today (14).
Sri Lanka skipper Dimuth Karunaratne has been ruled out due to a thumb injury, which he sustained during the second Test against South Africa, and Dinesh Chandimal will lead the side in his absence.
Sri Lanka has recalled spinners Dilruwan Perera and Lasith Embuldeniya and paceman Asitha Fernando retains his place since making the Test debut against South Africa last month.
Lahiru Thirimanne will open the batting with Kusal Perera for Sri Lanka.
