Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara today told Parliament that those applying for new electricity connections would be able to pay their connection fees on an installment basis.
He said accordingly only 25 per cent needs to be paid to obtain the connection and the rest could be paid in 10 to 12 instalments under the new scheme to be introduced shortly.
He said that factories too would be given concessions.
