Mr Ranjan Ramanayake was today escorted to the Press Council in Borella for the hearing of a complaint which he had lodged against a newspaper.
More than 20 prison guards accompanied Mr Ramanayake to the Press Council building at Castel street in Borella.
Mr Ramanayake who was handcuffed was surrounded by the prisons guards, but still shouted out “I tried to catch the thieves and they jailed me”.
At the entrance his temperature was checked by the security guard to whom he spoke a few words.
He is currently serving a four year prison sentence at the Angunukolapelessa prisons after being found guilty for charges of contempt of court.
