Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC), Dr. Prasanna Gunasena has reportedly tended his resignation.
Informed sources told Times Online that Dr. Gunasena has handed over the letter of resignation to the President and it is yet unclear whether the President accepted his letter or not.
According to sources, he has resigned from the post citing health and personal reasons.
Dr. Gunasena is a renowned neuro surgeon and has rendered a great service in taking the lead to procure COVID-19 vaccines to Sri Lanka in his capacity as the SPC Chairman. (Bandula)
