Officers attached to Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs have arrested a staff member attached to the SriLankan Catering trying to smuggle gold biscuits valued at Rs. 176 million, the Customs Department said today (31).
Sixty six gold biscuits hidden inside his underwear weighing 7700 grams were detected.
The suspect had been employed for 15 years and is 35 years old.
Investigations regarding this arrest is conducted by Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs.

The Government today tabled in the House the Report of the Commission to Inquiry into the Establishment and Maintenance of Unlawful Places of Detention and Torture Chambers in the Batalanda Housing Scheme.
